Of course, my people had already planned on the need for human intervention during this week in the basement, and sent a perfectly wonderful woman to care for all of our physical needs. She even took the time to pet and speak with each one of us.
Because of Princess's behavior toward her, I'm not sure she'll be coming back. (I've never actually heard a woman weep so loudly before.) Anyway, I do so hope that the travelers return soon. Though conditions are much improved by the kind ministrations of this visitor, I will be very glad to return to my own bed and get some distance between myself and these animals with whom I am confined.
