Snowy greetings, gentle readers! We've just had a doozy of a snow storm last night here. I'm not sure exactly how much snow we got, but it looks to have been at least 6 inches or so. One of our fans requested a comment from the Farrier Felines regarding our thoughts on snow. In a nutshell, she wondered if we were blizzard ready, or cabin fevered. I, of course, am the former.
The aesthetics of a winter snowfall appeal greatly to my artistic sensibilities, and I can sit for hours just watching the flakes floating gently to the ground below. It is impressive to me how such tiny things - when combined in such great numbers - can change the entire landscape. Perhaps there is some social commentary contained in the transformational power of a snow storm. But, I digress.
For us, a snowstorm is just another opportunity to snuggle. Often, our people are inclined to do the same during inclement weather, much more so than when the sun is shining and the temperature is balmy. It is during a snow storm that the people are most likely to be gathered on the couch, covered in fluffy blankets, and ready and willing to pet our ever-present heads.
I know it may be contrary to the feelings of most people, but I say, "bring on the snow!" And that, dear readers, is my two-cents' worth.
