Squirrels Close Up

Today I got really close to a squirrel. Actually, two squirrels. One was on the table on the patio. The other was right outside the window. It really made my day! Even Nimrod was interested in the squirrels when they were that close. He kept trying to take my spot, but I wouldn't let him. I think I deserved to be there, since I'm a good friend to the squirrels, and I like to look at their fuzzy little faces.

So far I've learned that squirrels like sunflower seeds, raisins, sunflower seeds, peanuts, sunflower seeds, corn, sunflower seeds, peanut butter, and sunflower seeds. But, mostly they like sunflower seeds. They eat a lot of sunflower seeds. I don't really like any of that stuff, except peanut butter. I guess that means that if a squirrel ever came to live in our house, we wouldn't have to worry about fighting over food. Which is good. Because I don't know that I could be friends with someone who tried to take my food.

I'm hoping that the squirrels  will come back again tomorrow. And the next day. I really like squirrels.
